A Brief History of the Company

It was August of 1974 when an idea of putting up an appliance firm in Ilo-Ilo was hatched. Preparation in terms of market analysis, buyer characteristics and preferences, capital requirements, and projected returns were assembled and carefully studied.

The planning board eventually came up with a calculated approach designed to capture a minimal segment of the market at the outset. Thus, a new fragile and unassuming organization was born. Imperial Appliance Plaza was then the company name adopted. It was a single proprietorship in form but family partnership in context.

The highly competitive nature of the appliance market required tremendous struggle to stay afloat. The meager capital outfit had to contend with numerous and more established competitors.

In March of 1982, the company was converted into a corporation. the move raised capitalization to a competitive level. And the company grew more rapidly in the late 80's. Several branches were opened up. First, there was Roxas City branch, then followed by Bacolod branch. Soon the Kalibo branch emerged. The whole Region VI was practically served but the expansion did not stop there.

The company continued to move forward. And in the 90's, IAP branches began sprouting up in the major cities on Mindanao such as Cagayan, General Santos and Davao including Kidapawan City.

In 1996, hthe company successfully ventured into Luzon areas specifically in Laguna, Cavite, and San Pablo City.

At present, the company has for its subsidiaries, the Madison Appliance Center which has four outlets in Region VI, Technoflex Marketing, an outlet based in Iloilo City which sells mainly repossesed appliance items and Electroworld, a franchised dealer of computers also based in Iloilo City.

Imperial Appliance Corporation continues to grow serving to the appliance needs not only of the Ilonggos but to many Filipinos nationwide.

I would like inform you tnat your MANAGER IN TARLAC BRANCH doesn't deserve to be a manager because of the attitude he shown to the public and to your customers yesterday (Oct. 9,2010).. As we just witness a manager without breeding, degrading, insultive and unprofessional, it really shows that he needs professional help and must undergo to many seminars so that he will know proper way of handling situations and emotions... for us tarlaquenos, whatever goods you sell or how brilliant your strategy is, if the person incharge is a monster i don't think it would succeed... if you would do anything about it well sorry for you... MANY PEOPLE will hate that personand soon your company if he will stay there...

Hi I'm from Cebu City. Marami-marami na rin akong nakuhang appliance sa inyo pero nitong huli nagkaproblema dahil may penalty akong P325 sa last TV na kinuha ko pero hindi ko na man kasalanan.
Nakasaad kasi sa contract na ang iyang company ang kokolekta sa ofc namin sa monthly payment ko. May instance na sadya ko talagang magbayad na lang ng penalty dahil kailangan. Pero sa mga last 6 payments ko yata, hindi ko na kasalanan dahil matagal na ang collector nyo sa pagkuha ng payment ko. Nagsimula ito nung nag-shuffle yata kayo ng collectors.
Pag dumating ang collector, sabihan na lang ako na may penalty pero hindi ko talaga binayaran yung penalty dahil hindi ko kasalanan yun.
Nitong bago lang, balak ko sanang kukuha ulit ng 49-inch Sony TV para palitan yung luma ko pero sabi ng manager dito sa Cebu branch (a certain Val) na hindi na raw ako puwedeng makakuha sa inyong company dahil lang duon sa penalty na P325 na hindi ko na man kasalanan.
Gaya sa lahat ng mga nakuha ko sa inyong company, natapos ko na mang bayaran yung huli ko na kinuha na sa Haier 39-inch TV at buong akala ko na ok na yung penalty dahil sinabihan ko ang collector na pakisabi sa manager na hindi ako magbabayad sa penalty dahil hindi ko nga kasalanan.
I think hindi fair parang i-blacklist ako sa inyong company dahil nga hindi ko kasalanan kung bakit ako may penalty.
